2. Gather Documents We will collect all the necessary papers or files needed for your case. Information about yourself, family, employment, evidence of good moral character among others.
3. Psychiatrist Appointment Make an appointment with a psychiatrist if it's needed according to the abuse you suffered.
4. Prepare package Putting together all the needed information about your case. This includes supporting documents and evidence.
5. Mail Package Gather all the required documents for your process and send them to USCIS.
6. USCIS receives United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received your application for the VAWA.
7. USCIS mails receipt United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) sends a confirmation notice to let you know they have received your application for VAWA.
8. Biometric Appointment Scheduled appointment for you (and your beneficiaries) to provide biometric information, such as fingerprints, photos, and a signature to USCIS.
9. Receive work permit Getting official approval from the government that allows you to work legally in the country.
10. Interview notice This comes from USCIS, they've scheduled an interview as part of the review process for your application.
11. Prepare for Interview Get ready to answer questions and bring the correct papers to the meeting. This helps your case go smoothly.
