Step 1: Understanding the Petition Requirements
- Purpose: To become familiar with what is required for the petition package.
- Actions:
- Meet with your Legal Assistant to review the specific requirements for your petition, depending on your immigration case type (e.g., family-based, employment-based, asylum, etc.).
- Understand the purpose of the petition and how it fits into your overall immigration process.
- Get a detailed list of all documents, evidence, and completed questionnaires that need to be included in your petition package.
Step 2: Review the Document and Evidence Gathering form the Client and evidence
- Purpose: To ensure all necessary documents and evidence are ready for inclusion in the petition.
- Actions:
- Review the documents you’ve already gathered during the “Gather Docs & Information” phase to ensure they meet the petition requirements.
- If additional evidence is needed (e.g., affidavits, medical records, financial statements), work with your Legal Assistant to gather these items.
- Ensure all documents are current, properly certified, and translated if necessary.
Step 3: Finalizing Questionnaires and Forms
- Purpose: To complete and review all required questionnaires and forms for the petition.
- Actions:
- Fill out any remaining forms or questionnaires as directed by your Legal Assistant
