Easter Recipe: Deviled Eggs with a Twist Ingredients:

 

  • 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika, plus more for garnish

  • Fresh dill, for garnish

 

Instructions:

 

  1. Remove yolks from the halved eggs and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash yolks with a fork, then mix in mayonnaise, mustard, sweet pickle relish, and smoked paprika.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  5. Garnish with a sprinkle of smoked paprika and fresh dill.
  6. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Passover Recipe: Matzo Ball Soup Ingredients:

 

  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup seltzer water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup matzo meal
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 2 cups sliced carrots
  • 2 cups sliced celery
  • Fresh dill, for garnish

 

Instructions:

 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine eggs, seltzer water, and vegetable oil.
  2. Stir in matzo meal, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
  3. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, bring chicken broth to a boil in a large pot.
  5. Once chilled, form the matzo mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
  6. Drop matzo balls into the boiling broth, cover, and reduce heat to a simmer.
  7. Cook for 25-30 minutes or until matzo balls are tender.
  8. Add shredded chicken, carrots, and celery to the pot, and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh dill.
