Dad, I got bleed!

This Saturday, we celebrated my son’s bar mitzvah, a coming of age ceremony where a boy turns 13 and marks his becoming a man in Jewish custom. I am so proud of my son. He worked very hard the last year to prepare for the ceremony. But I needed to give a speech. So what did I do? I searched online for a structure; something to help me get started.

I started with a funny story. A true story about how my son got his hand stuck in the cookie jar, and he has a big scar to this day. There was a lot of blood. With the structure in hand, my speech practically wrote itself. People told me it was great. I know that the audience laughed at the correct parts, and my son didn’t cry from embarrassment, so I must have done something right. I only have one son, so I likely will only give one bar mitzvah speech. But I know should I have to do it again; the next time will be easier for me because I know the structure.

You would be surprised how important structure is when putting together an immigration application. My job as an immigration attorney is to learn your story and express it to immigration agencies in a way they expect, whether it is a fiance visa, family-based application, U-visa, Asylum, or citizenship application. Each case has its own story; its structure. We have told thousands of accounts for our clients and have the system worked out.

Suppose you or a loved one has a story to tell immigration about their journey. Make sure to learn the structure for the application or contact us, and we will help. Remember we won’t take your money if we can’t help you.

Sincerely,

Andres “Structure” Mejer
