A Service Misstep and What We Learned from It

I took my son to a restaurant we frequently visit, where he wanted to order Hibachi. Although I didn’t want it myself, I was more than willing to order it just for him. However, the server refused, saying that the portions weren’t adequate for Hibachi. I offered to pay more and explained that we’d ordered this before, but he didn’t budge. After waiting to speak with a manager with no resolution, I ended up having to speak directly to the owner to sort things out.

While we’ll continue to visit, this experience highlighted a clear lack of training and attentiveness. What made it even more frustrating was that the entire conversation happened in a language I didn’t understand, right in front of me, leaving me completely confused and unsure about what was happening.
